Mike & Theresa were my first Anniversary in home session and I couldn’t have loved it more! Like a lot of days in Chicago, it was a rainy afternoon so I was a little worried we weren’t going to be able to do this session. On my drive over - rain! As soon as I got to their apartment the rain stopped!! We were able to start their session a bit fancier outside their apartment with a gorgeous dress that Theresa rented from Rent the Runway (Pro Tip: Future brides of mine, totally do this for an engagement session! Gorgeous dress that you can wear once!)
After some photos outdoors, we headed inside and Mike & Theresa cut a piece out of their wedding cake which I totally love! Theresa is so detail oriented having all the cute decorations on their counter ready when I got there, which is a photographers dream! They also celebrated with some champagne which is always a go in my book :) Then, we got cozy on the couch and looked through the gorgeous photos in their wedding album. I seriously loved everything about this session and I am dying to do another in home engagement session. They are such a fun alternative, especially for the cold winters we have here and you guys really just get to relax and have some fun together.
